The X-ray time zone (X) is the eleventh zone to the west of the Greenwich or Prime Meridian, with an offset of UTC -11:00. This means that it is eleven hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
The US Military, Chinese Military, and several others have adopted a unique list of names for the time zones across the world. The names use the NATO phonetic alphabet which calls for the 26 letters of the alphabet to be designated by easily recognizable words. The X-ray time zone is one of these.
The X-ray time zone is primarily used in aviation and military operations.
Other time zones that include the same offset are Niue Time (NUT), and Samoa Standard Time (SST).
