Magadan Time is ten hours ahead of the Coordinated Universal Time standard, written as an offset of UTC + 10:00. That means to find the standard time in the zone you must add ten hours to Coordinated Universal Time.
Territories observing the time zone are primarily in Russia. More specifically, Magadan Oblast in northeastern Russia. Those in the time zone also refer to it as Magadan Island Time or MAGT.
During fall to winter months Magadan Time or MAGT was used, and then during Daylight Saving (spring to summer months) Magadan Summer Time or MAGST was used. However, MAGST is now used all year round by Magadan Oblast and they no longer observe Daylight Saving.
