West Africa Time Zone - WAT

West Africa Time is one hour ahead of the Coordinated Universal Time standard, written as an offset of UTC + 1:00. That means to find the standard time in the zone you must add one hour to Coordinated Universal Time.

Territories observing the time zone are primarily in Africa. It runs through the countries of Namibia, Angola, Benin, Chad, Congo, Gabo, Nigeria, and many more.

During fall to winter months in Namibia West Africa Time is used, and then during Daylight Saving (spring to summer months) West Africa Summer Time or WAST is used. However, all other areas in the zone remain on the same time all year long and do not make any changes for Daylight Saving.
